We advise you to take out travel cancellation insurance

As a bus trip booked with us (with or without a festival ticket) can no longer be cancelled under German travel law once it has been paid for, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance, as there can always be unplanned events that prevent you from taking the bus trip and attending the festival.

We have decided to recommend Hanse-Merkur Reiseversicherung AG as a provider of travel cancellation insurance for our customers residing in Germany and offer you the opportunity to take out this insurance directly here (Wackenbus.com receives a small commission for this, the price for you remains the same):

VERY IMPORTANT: German travel cancellation insurance does not necessarily apply to citizens of other countries, so we recommend that you check carefully whether the insurance we recommend is also available in your country (will be checked when you order). Otherwise, you should consider taking out local travel cancellation insurance in your country:

Go to the Hanse Merkur insurance pages and take out travel cancellation insurance immediately. To Hanse Merkur travel cancellation insurance

  • You can also take out travel cancellation insurance after placing your order, but no later than one month before the day of departure.
  • Any festival tickets booked at the same time will of course also be insured. So please state the total travel price as per the order confirmation when taking out the insurance.

Important: Wackenbus.com is only an intermediary for this insurance. If you have any questions, please contact Hanse Merkur website or the Hanse Merkur Service Hotline +49(0)40 4119 1919.

If you travel a lot throughout the year apart from our bus trip, the following insurances may also be suitable for you:

(But be careful: Depending on the country in which you live or of which you are a citizen, the insurance may be bookable, but may not cover you according to the terms and conditions. Please check this beforehand, ask us or book similar insurance in your home country)
