Wackenbus.com is a transfer service with coaches that are not subject to any age restrictions in Germany. We therefore do not check the age of our passengers, so minors are also welcome to travel with us.
But time and again parents call us with just one question:
Can I take my son/daughter under 18 to the Wacken Open Air?
Dear parents,
in principle, our answer is that Wacken Open Air is one of the most peaceful festivals in Germany from our (and also from a statistical) point of view. It is up to you to decide whether you trust your child enough to go, with or without friends. Although it is important to us that we ONLY organise the bus trip and not the stay at the festival, a group of passengers and tour guides from all buses has traditionally formed for many years, to which every passenger is welcome to join. This group basically consists of many fellow travellers from the Wacken bus and is a good opportunity for those travelling alone to get to know new people and spend the festival in a group. Of course, nobody in the group can take responsibility for your underage child, but experience shows that mutual control works well automatically and so far all minors have been brought back safely.
The official regulations of the organiser regarding minors at the Wacken Open Air can be found here on the Wacken Open Air homepage under “Child and Youth Protection”
